While logging in via https://outlook.office.com the following screen will be displayed. Select Next to continue.
If you are choosing to use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone as your primary second form of authentication, click on “Download now” and scan the code on the screen based on your cell phone type.
The last page in this guide also includes the code to scan with your cell phone camera in order to download the Microsoft Authenticator app to your phone.
Once you have the app on your phone you can select “Next” on this screen.
If you do not want to use the Microsoft Authenticator app, select “I want to setup a different method” to use the “Phone call or text a code to your cell phone” option, in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
Please not that you also have the option to use another 3rd party authenticator app like the Google Authenticator, by selecting “I want to use a different authenticator app”.
If you selected to use the “Microsoft Authenticator app” option, please skip this page and go on to image 7.
If you chose the “I want to setup a different method” on the previous step, you will be prompted with the screen below. Select the Phone – “Get a call or text to use to sign in with a code”.
Provide your cell phone number and verify with the code sent to your cell phone.
Provide an email other than your Community Options company email as a second form of authentication.
You also have the option of using security questions, instead of a personal email. For the security questions option to be available to you, instead of the person email, registration via the link below is required prior to going through the Multi-Factor Authentication, registration process.

If you registered your security questions ahead of time and selected the option of using “Security questions”, you will be presented with the screen below. Select “Security questions.

Using your Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone, scan the QR code you are prompted from within the app (not the QR code below) and follow the instructions on your phone to complete the registration.
